The ISCRiM Newsletter 2/2009

I don’t know what I would do with the ISCRiM Newsletters from the International Supply Chain Risk Management Network. They are indeed a valuable source of information for my research into supply chain risk and related topics, particularily for academia-related news on recent papers, books, conferences, dissertations and theses, job openings, ongoing research projects and whatever else that could be useful. Issue number 2 this year is just out and it is well worth reading.

Highlights in this issue

There are a couple of interesting papers and books that are mentioned in the newsletter, and I look forward to read, and review them on this website, in particular:

Papers

  • Khan, Omera.; Imram Khan; Ron Jarman (2009) “Be Quick or Dead”. Article in Supply Management Magazine published by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Volume 14 issue 14.

Theses

  • Wels, Andreas (2008) Quantifizierung von Lieferzeitabweichungen zur Unterstützung eines effektiven Supply Chain Risikomanagements (Quantification of lead time deviations to support an effective Supply Chain Risk Management), Estenfeld, ISBN: 978-3-9809964-9-5 (zugleich Dissertation Technische Universität Dresden, 2008).
